TLC Talks – 11/1/17 in MVCC Library

Teaching and Learning Community Event logo

Please join us for our upcoming TLC Talks event on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 11:00am – 1:00pm in the Library Event space.  The Teaching and Learning Community Event is a public event organized and hosted by the Moraine Valley Center for Teaching & Learning and the Library.  During each fall semester staff, administrators and faculty from across the college, who are knowledgeable and passionate about intriguing subjects inspire us with ideas worth sharing through featured short talks.  The event is free and open to the entire college community.  Faculty members are encouraged to bring their classes.

Please see the slate of speakers for this year’s event:

  • Francisco Arteaga –  Running to the Sound of Gunfire: The Mindset of a SWAT Officer
  • Erika Deiters – GraFEETi, Growth, and Grief: Impact of an Author Friend
  • Shanya Gray – Living Life on the Hyphen: Exploring My Identity and Belonging Amidst Being a Bi-Racial, Caribbean-American Woman
  • Jodi Marneris – The Newspaper Headline Read, “This Was a House.” Keyword, “Was”
