Use the caption/transcription feature built into the tool you are actually using.
Use the live-caption or transcription feature available in the platform used for the class or event, and make sure participants know how to turn captions on.
- For a live online class or meeting, enable the platform's live captions/transcription when available.
- Tell participants how to turn captions on.
- For recorded instruction, review/edit the recording captions afterward.
- Do not treat automatic transcription as a substitute for an interpreter or other approved accommodation when one is required.
