On Thursday, October 3, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm CDT, NISOD will be offering a complimentary webinar to all members. The webinar, Two Heads Are Better Than One: Collaborating for Undergraduate Research, will be conducted by Dr. Jason Kaufman, an associate professor of educational leadership at Minnesota State University, and Jon Jensen, an adjunct psychology instructor at Inver Hills Community College.
The webinar will focus on how the presenters have worked together for undergraduate research and emphasize the in-class mechanics behind the effort.

The webinar, It’s All Fun and Games: Gamification in the Community College Classroom, will be conducted by Nancy Kaplan-Biegel, a journalism professor and program coordinator at Skyline College.
During this webinar, participants learn about a variety of strategies and low- and high-tech tools that can help add intrigue, motivation, competition, and fun into any lesson, unit, or semester.

How to Make Getting Published a Piece of Cake
On Thursday, October 24, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm CDT, NISOD will be offering a complimentary webinar to all members. The webinar, How to Make Getting Published a Piece of Cake, will be conducted by Angela V. Payne, a professor at Collin College.
The webinar will explore and explain several free tools that aid authors in getting published across modern mediums, including how to start a blog, record podcasts, create website content, and produce original videos.
