Memberships

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) maintains several memberships and affiliations. These memberships and affiliations provide information to the college for use by faculty, staff, and students.

Association for Talent Development (ATD)

The Association for Talent Development, previously known as ASTD, is a worldwide organization working to aid organizations in developing the potential of their employees.

EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI)

The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative, a part of EDUCAUSE, is devoted to effective teaching and learning, the principles and practices of learning, and learning technologies.  ELI works to determine the future trends of education that will ultimately impact colleges and their students.

ELI membership is a campus-wide license, allowing any college employee to register. Registration permits access to locked/embargoed ELI content. Please visit EDUCAUSE to register, or contact the CTL for assistance.

Illinois Community Colleges Online (ILCCO)

Illinois Community Colleges Online collaborates among Illinois Community Colleges on topics related to online learning, including shared resources, frameworks, regulatory issues, and grant opportunities.

Instructional Technology Council (ITC)

The Instructional Technology Council is a national college advocacy group working to advocate, collaborate, innovate, and share practices in educational/instructional technologies.

National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD)

The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development is a community college organization committed to excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership. NISOD shares practices and ideas among its members.

Supporting Learning and Technology in Education (SLATE)

Supporting Learning and Technology in Education is a group working with K-12 and higher education institutions, as well as corporate partners interested in technology-enabled learning. SLATE is very inclusive with its professional development topics, monthly meetings, and annual conference. Moraine Valley is one of the founding members of SLATE.
