MVLA: SUPPORTING INSTRUCTORS AND AT-RISK STUDENTS (CTLF-M240-530)

October 6 - November 4

In response to HB2170, the developmental department was tasked with creating different courses that began to be offered in FA23, which ultimately reduces the amount of time our students will be in remedial classes. This state mandate places at-risk students in transfer level courses sooner and with less developmental instruction, thus creating a potential issue for transfer level instructors who may need to offer greater support for their students. This course offers support to instructors who want more strategies to help all students be successful in their courses. In addition, it will connect them to campus resources who will also be able to provide support to both the instructor and students. Instructors can expect to create relevant and applicable materials for your current course(s) and will have the opportunity to receive feedback to help support your present issues in your course with your struggling students.
