Safe Zone is a successful and highly utilized program at college campuses around the nation. Faculty and staff interested in this free, non-mandatory training on how to support members of our LGBT*QIA+ community can attend this two-hour session led by our campus’s trained Safe Zone facilitators. Faculty and staff successfully completing the training will receive a Safe Zone placard which they can display at their workstation. To maintain the highest standards for supporting this program and the LGBT*QIA+ community, we are asking that those who have been trained in Safe Zone prior to Fall 2022 go through the training again. In addition, newly designed placards will be issued that include training expiration dates. In the meantime, of course, we encourage you to display other symbols of support as you wish.
