The VALUE Rubric Development Project, created by the American Association of Colleges & Universities, contains a series of rubric applicable in a higher education setting. Each rubric, 16 in all, was developed by over 100 faculty across many institutions. The rubrics have been tested for effectiveness by the participating faculty who developed them.
The rubrics focus on intellectual and practical skills, personal and social responsibility, and integrative and adaptive learning. The rubrics under each concept area contain definitions, framing language, and additional information as may be needed. Many of the rubrics are intended to work across multiple disciplines, allowing for the evaluation of student achievement and the development of critical thinking.
The rubrics are available in both PDF and Word format, and can easily be printed for use within a classroom environment.
