Did you know that Canvas has a built in “Roll Call Attendance” tool? With the Attendance tool, instructors can keep track of course attendance by taking roll electronically. Instructors can choose to view the tool in a list or grid format and can customize the placement of each student in the seating chart. By default, all new Canvas courses are unpublished. While a course is unpublished, the assigned teacher can access and edit the course, but students cannot access or participate in the course.
