Moraine Valley Community College will close at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 29) and remain closed Wednesday, Jan. 30, and Thursday, Jan. 31, due to extreme temperatures. Classes beginning today at 5 p.m. or later are canceled. This closure includes all locations and buildings, including the FitRec. Normal operations will resume Friday, Feb. 1.

On Wednesday, January 30th from 3:00 – 4:30 PM CST, Dr. Nina Shoman-Dajani will explore the issues Arab American college students face as they construct their identities in a system that renders them “invisible” in the “White” category of applications. This session is particularly beneficial to those interested in race demographics, retention, support services, and student sub-populations. No prior background knowledge is needed to attend this session.
