Canvas has added the ability to added color coded comments linked to annotations in the, DocViewer, document viewer. It has also provided a draw tool for annotations that offers three widths.

By default, all new Canvas courses are unpublished. While a course is unpublished, the assigned teacher can access and edit the course, but students cannot access or participate in the course.
